ResumeYek Privacy Policy

1. Overview

ResumeYek is an online resume builder with AI features. This policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, who receives it, and your rights. Using ResumeYek means accepting this policy and our terms of service.

2. Information we collect

  • Account information: name, mobile number or email address, hashed password, authentication tokens, and session information such as IP address and browser/device user agent. Email registration requires email verification; Persian phone registration uses SMS verification.
  • Account and resume content: profile photo, resume text, employment, education, skills, certificates, projects, and an uploaded resume photo. Profile and resume photos are managed separately.
  • AI inputs and outputs: biographies, uploaded PDFs, resume content submitted for generation, translation, or review, optional job descriptions, and generated results and suggestions.
  • Public resume analytics: a random visit ID, resume ID, visit time, traffic source category, visits longer than 15 seconds, and PDF downloads within a visit. These analytics do not store location, IP addresses, persistent visitor IDs, full referrer URLs, or search terms. Security and account session information is separate.
  • Technical information: browser, operating system, IP address, and similar diagnostic information.
  • Support information: messages submitted through support forms.
  • Payment and credit information: Zibal processes payments. We retain limited billing information such as amount, transaction status, tracking ID, purchase type, credit pack ID, and credit usage. We do not store full bank card details.

3. How we use information

We use information to provide and improve resume creation, editing, publication, export, and hosting; process requested AI generation, translation, and reviews; manage subscriptions, upgrades, credit packs, and credit reservations or releases; display resume analytics; send SMS verification and recovery codes or email verification and password-reset links; secure accounts and prevent abuse; diagnose errors; communicate service updates, security notices, and support replies; and comply with legal requirements and enforce our terms.

4. AI processing

We send the inputs needed for your request, such as biographies, resume text, PDF content, or job descriptions, to AI model providers. Results may be inaccurate or incomplete. You must review content before using or publishing it. We may use de-identified or aggregated data to improve prompts, quality controls, and model settings.

5. Public resumes and sharing

New resumes are private. If you publish a version under a custom public name, all its content, including contact details and its photo, is accessible through the public link. Search visibility requires separate consent and is not guaranteed. You can control publication, but copies saved, republished, or indexed by others may be beyond our control. Analytics may be approximate or aggregated.

6. Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies for sign-in and preferences. The interface language is determined by the URL. Public resume analytics do not use cookies, browser storage, or persistent visitor IDs; the visit ID is kept only in the page’s memory. You can manage or disable cookies in your browser, but disabling necessary cookies may affect functionality.

7. Sharing your information

When necessary, we share information with hosting, infrastructure, and storage providers; AI providers handling your requested generation, translation, or review; SMS providers such as Kavenegar; the configured transactional email provider for verification and password recovery; Zibal for payments and subscriptions; and professional advisers or authorities where required by law or to protect our rights. We do not sell personal information.

8. International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries with different data protection laws. We use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

9. Retention

We retain personal information only as needed to provide services, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You can delete resumes from your dashboard. Use support for account deletion or other data requests. Backups, logs, and records needed for legal or security reasons may remain for a limited period.

10. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. No transmission or storage method is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

11. Your rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, transfer, restrict processing of, or object to processing of your information. Contact support through your dashboard to exercise these rights. You can also manage publication, edit or delete resume content, and download PDFs.

12. Children

ResumeYek is not intended for children under 16. Contact support if you believe a child has provided personal information.

13. Payments

Subscription, upgrade, and credit pack payments go through Zibal. We do not receive or store full card details. We retain information needed for payment status, amount, transaction ID, purchase type, pack ID and expiry, and subscription management.

14. Do Not Track

Public resume analytics respect Do Not Track (DNT) and Global Privacy Control (GPC). Visits are not recorded when these signals are enabled. These settings do not disable necessary authentication cookies or security controls.

15. Policy changes

We may update this policy. For material changes, we use appropriate notice such as an in-app notification. Continued use after an update takes effect means accepting the changes.
